Stock Rebalancing for Electronics EMS and OEM companies.

Most branded products these days are built by Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) or Contract Manufacturing Services (CMS) companies. These products carry the names of the Worlds most famous brands like Apple, Blackberry, Ducati, Toshiba, Siemens etc.

Many of our favourite products, whilst conceived and designed by the recognised branded company are actually produced in volume by one of the top EMS or CEM manufacturing companies. Foxcon, Flextronics, Celestica, Jabil and Wistron are some of the biggest players in the EMS/CEM market place.

Very large volume product, mobile phones, for example, may be built by several different companies simultaneously, perhaps with three different manufacturers producing product for different continents.

In the example below you can see a sudden drop in the requirements in Europe in Q3 while forecasted sales in both Asia and N. America are still rising. This is where rebalancing can really help. Moving components from one facility to another can reduce overall expenditure and exposure. This is common practice when only one EMS or CMS company is building product in multiple locations but becomes much more complicated when the manufacturers involved are competitors. This is where we can help. Our proprietary InPlantTM system can help you manage your excess and obsolete stock in completly new ways that have never been possible before. Stock rebalancing is just one of the many added benefits of working with us here at Component Sense.
