Quality Control Inspector (aka the "Detailed Investigator")

Brief Summary

We are a high-tech sales and marketing company operating in the electronic manufacturing sector. We are looking for a keen eyed, curious and enthusiastic individual to become a key member of our team. The role encompasses all aspects of ensuring our customers receive the high qualility products that they expect.

The Role

You will play an integral role within the organisation as we continue to expand globally. In this role you are ensuring the reputation of our brand is upheld.

Extremely high standards are a must!

The role will include some packing and shipping however, the vast majority of your time will be spent inspecting and analysing electronic components (training will be provided)

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage incoming stock, receive and process stock.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery according to schedule.
  • Perform inventory controls and ensure that quality standards remain high.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
  • Maintain Health & Safety requirements, ensuring adherence to relevant policies.
  • Ensure compliance to company procedures and policies.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within Component Sense.

Our office and warehouse is based in Kirkton Campus, Livingston, West Lothian and normal hours of business are 9 to 5, although our business operates 24/7.

About you!

You are:

  • A positive can-do person!
  • Detail orientated; find the spelling mistake on this page for bonus points.
  • Confident in your written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT literate and proficient using Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in online research, tell us the difference between a varistor and resistor in your application!
  • Ideally experienced in electronics (although not essential)
  • Keen to learn and develop in a fast growing, high tech company
